My name is Pablo and I grew up playing in the vineyards in northern Argentina. The North of Argentina has amazing local wine producers and traditional vineyards that produce wonderful high altitude and low sulphite organic wines but it can be difficult for local producers to sell internationally.
Wine Argentina stocks a selection of red, white and rosé wines made from traditional Argentinian grape varieties including Malbec, Cabernet, Tannat, Bonarda and Torrontés.
Douce noir (also known as Bonarda, Corbeau and Charbono) is a red Savoyard wine grape variety that has historically been grown in the Savoy region, but today is more widely planted in Argentina. The earliest mention of the grape dates from when Etruscans first planted Bonarda some 3.000 years ago.
