2021 is a special year for Brockley Max – this year sees our 20th festival. Despite challenging circumstances, we are going to deliver a special edition this year by getting creative to revitalise and celebrate all the local arts scene has to offer.

This year’s festival will embrace digital more than ever before; we will be developing a series of innovative events from curated self-guided audio-visual tours to virtual exhibitions, combining these with Covid-safe physical get-togethers as much as we are able to. ‘Memories of Brockley Max’ will be a curated, self-guided audio-visual tour of past festival locations in Brockley, Crofton Park and Ladywell. The project will introduce and memorialise events and venues, giving a social history of our creative community.

A phone app allows participants to discover music, interviews and images of local events and venues in a Covid-safe way. An accompanying downloadable guide will allow accessibility for all, part of the project’s legacy of a digital and physical exhibition where people can add their memories of the festival.

However, we can’t do this alone. We need your support to help us hit our fundraising targets. If everyone in Brockley donated just 59p we would smash our goal – for the cost of a pint of milk you will have helped deliver all the exciting and innovative elements of the festival we have planned this year.
